Trends in KPREP Data (four years):
- Teachers are consistant but students have changed
- Both subjects demonstrated a increase novice/ apprentice and a decrease in proficient/distinguished this year.
- Hard to provide reading materials based on Common Core when resources do not align to Common Core.
- Math program was only implemented at the end of last year and is very difficult to implement when it doesn't correlate with math pacing guide.
- Writing program is great but is very time consuming.
Ways to accomplish a reduction in novices/apprentices:
- Meeting with intervention teachers to learn new programs
- Provided with two intervention periods
- Testing kids in second grade with time limits and constructed responses
- Time tests/ and constructed responses - Labor Day
- Intrinsic motivation strategies
Discussion of Data Analysis
- Data Analysis Graph
- Quarterly Plan for all students
- Novice - considered tier III kids
- Apprentice - hardest to move, lack motivation, poor attendance, truancy, most important area to build relationships, think outside the box, they can TIP the scale
- Proficient - 65 percentile or higher on MAP , need to sustain,
- Distinguished - Sustain
Discussion of Dirty Data
- Looked at reading scores and put them into categories based on scores
